INTRODUCTION

GSVC, an outreach of The Fountain Of Life Church, Ilupeju, was established in January 2009. It’s a non – profit centre set up under the auspices of Ruth and Boaz Fellowship, based on the vision given to Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, The Senior Pastor of The Fountain Of Life Church. It is a community service program set up to empower the less privileged members of the church family and indigent individuals within and around Ilupeju environ. However it has grown to catering for those who wish to augment their income and graduates who are looking for some form of training while waiting to be employed. It caters for both genders, training them in vocations that they can easily set up on a small scale, thereby providing a means of livelihood for them and their dependants.

BUSINESS FELLOWSHIP

The Project arose from a vision given to Pastor Taiwo to reach out and affect the standard of education in schools situated in the environs of the Fountain of Life Church.

The vision of Missions Department of the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, is to build the home thus building the nation.

Under the leadership of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, Senior Pastor, the Church has decided to make a difference to their environment and neighbourhood (which Oshodi is), by instituting a rehabilitation project for children , youth and drug-addicts living under the bridge of Oshodi, and Onipanu smoking joint. Our outreaches extends to the Shuwa-arabs, Bassa and the neighbouring state.

To promote integrity in governance with the love for the people in order to bring glory to Christ in the public sector.

MISSION

To partner and interact with government at all levels (Federal, State and Local government)

FOCUS

Intercession- We believe that God rules in the affairs of men and as a house we intercede for politicians, Government officials and the nation.

Training- We train members, present and future leaders who will influence the nation through Christlikeness

Public Policy Enhancement- We have committees who review public policies and provide solutions through submission to appropriate authorities at various levels.

Political Process- We encourage Christian and train them in the political process, constitutionalism, socio-political structure, etc

UPDATE

The Fountain Of Life Church Donations To Jos Victims

In response to the “Jos crisis” which took place in January 2010 in the Dogo na Hauwa, Plateau state, which claimed lots of lives and properties, The Fountain of Life Church in its typical benevolent manner, donated relief items to the victims of the community.

The church mandated the Government Relations Department, to execute this mission by sourcing for and ensuring the effective distribution of the relief items to the victims.  A two-member team comprising of  Mrs. Charity Babatunde [Assistant HOD] and Mr. Olufemi Omopintemi subsequently embarked on a 3 – day visit to Jos, Plateau State (May 17th -19th 2010), to carry out this assignment. The team worked closely with the Christian Urban and Rural Development Association of Nigeria (CRUDAN) a Christian interdenominational non - governmental organization located in Jos, who provided useful information on the community, facilitated meetings with the community leaders and also provided logistic support.

In sourcing the relief items, it was decided that the assistance to be provided, should be items that would empower the people of the community and enable them begin to earn a livelihood again. To this end, the following items were purchased and distributed on behalf of The Fountain of Life Church:

*Motor cycles 8

*Water pumps for irrigation purposes 9

*Sewing Machines 4

The joy that permeated the community and the gratitude expressed by all, was testimony to the fact that once again, the Lord had used the Fountain of Life Church to touch lives and practically demonstrate the love of Christ.

A BRIEF PROFILE OF GRACE SPRINGS FARMS

The following situation in Nigeria set the stage for the birth of Grace Springs Farms:

- The acute food problem, particularly with the poor;

- The unprofitable and unattractive nature of farming and related activities particularly at the rural level.

- The need for young people to be re-oriented, mentored and given skill sets that will make them entrepreneurs and ambassadors of positive change.

- The need for Government efforts at agricultural development in Nigeria should to be complemented by the private sector

The Career Development Agency is run by reputable professionals drawn from various fields of endeavour headed by Sis. Bukky Efunkoya.

The Office is located at The Fountain of Life Church premises (Beside PZ Industries) Ilupeju and opens between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm Mondays to Fridays.

The guiding philosophy of the Bible College is the pursuit of excellence in Life and ministry to enhance balance in doctrine with total surrender to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

INTRODUCTION

This is the Hospital outreach of the Fountain of Life Church. Its Establishment in 2002 arose from Divine Instruction to Pastor Taiwo Odukoya (Senior Pastor of T.F.O.L.C.) that a hospital be established in Ilupeju as an outreach to the underprivileged, to demonstrate tangibly the love of Christ to all men and to prevent easily avoidable deaths.

“I want to join the Air Force so as to protect my country against war.”

That was the soft but sincere and affirmative response from 14 year old Bayo (real name withheld), a Primary six pupil and youngest member of the GRACE SPRINGS REHABILITATION HOME housing a couple of boys under the auspices of The Missions Department of The Fountain of Life church. Bayo was responding to questions from reporters of Fountain Newsletter who underwent a guided observatory tour of the home on Friday, August 20, 2010. 

The Lord's kitchen is the benevolence arm of The Fountain of Life Church with a commission to shower the abundant love of Christ on the less privileged spiritually and physically.

The idea of providing free meals for the homeless and needy members of society came as our church increasingly acknowledged the need to affect our immediate community and do what we preach.
