PHILOSOPHY
The guiding philosophy of the Bible College is the pursuit of excellence in Life and ministry to enhance balance in doctrine with total surrender to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
VISION Our vision is to develop a strong Bible-based institution with her strength in Youth Development, Leadership and Christian Ministry. A place that will become a Christian Research Centre, richly equipped to serve the body of Christ, the Church.
OBJECTIVE To equip men and women adequately for life and ministry to become Christians who are sound, Biblical, morally upright and keen on a life of integrity either serving in the Church or in the secular world.
FACILITIES The College presently occupies a whole block on 16 Town Planning Way, Ilupeju Lagos. Our classrooms are fully air-conditioned for the comfort of both lecturers and students. The College’s Library is well furnished with recent publications: Reference and Journals, Books on Christian Ministry, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Theology, History, Biblical Languages, Religions etc. The College has a standby generator to ensure uninterrupted power supply. We have a conducive environment for learning and research purposes.
ACHIEVEMENTS The College has graduated a total of about 1000 students in the various programmes from inception in January 2000.
OUR PROGRAMS:
Foundation in Christian Ministry (FCM)
Objective: The FCM programme is designed to effect Christian maturity and wet the spiritual appetite of Christians for further studies. It is intended to make participants have a deeper understanding of the faith and consequently acquire needed skills for personal development and purposeful Christian life.
Duration: 1 contact (3months)
Lecture Time: Saturdays only (9am-4pm With one hour break at 1pm)
Benefits: This programme lays proper foundation for Christian growth and maturity. Enhance proper Bible interpretation and application.
Entry Requirements: Candidates must be Born Again and must be able to understand, communicate, read and write in English Language.
Certificate in Christian Ministry (CCM)
Objective: The CCM programme is designed to introduce the student/candidates to proper ministerial methods and Ethics. Students are prepared for effective ministry within the Church.
Duration: 2 contacts (6months)
Lecture Time: Saturdays only 9am-4pm (With one hour break at 1pm)
Entry Requirements: Candidates must be Born Again and must be able to understand, communicate, read and write effectively in English Language in addition to a minimum of School learning certificate
Attendant Benefits: This programme lays proper foundation for ministry work. Prepares candidates for meaningfully, purposeful and result oriented ministry. It is intended to develop the understanding, attitude and skills necessary to fulfill the call of God.
Diploma in Christian Ministry (DCM)
Objective: The DCM programme is designed to introduce students to proper ministerial work, with academic flavour that will prepare students for serious research that will enhance the calling of the individual and the ministry of the church at large.
Duration: 3 contacts (9months in all)
Lecture Time: Saturdays only, 9am-4pm (With one hour break at 1pm)
Entry Requirements: Candidates must be Born-Again, able to understand, write and communicate effectively in English language, in addition to a minimum academic qualification of O’ levels SSCE or its equivalent. Theological Certificates from recognized seminaries will be considered.
Attendant Benefits: This programme equips candidates and provides intellectual depth necessary for effective ministry and preparations for further studies.
Advance Diploma in Christian Ministry
Objective: This programme is designed to serve as a bridge into post-graduate studies in the divinities for those who do not have degrees, yet are very experienced in ministry and have the ability to cope with post-graduate studies. This is limited to Ministry.
Duration: 4 contacts (12months) starting September.
Lecture Time: Saturdays only, 9am-4pm (With one hour break at 1pm)
Entry Requirements: Candidates must be born-again. Able to Communicate speak and write in English language effectively and a minimum of School leaving Certificate or its equivalent and the ability to conduct independent research.
Additional Requirements for Graduation: Students are required to submit a project work which will be approved and presented according to the standard of the college as a requirement for graduation.
Attendant Benefits: ADCM provides opportunities to pursue higher degrees in ministry without necessarily having a formal degree. It is an open door for those who have the potentials for higher degrees but have been incapacitated because they do not have a first degree.
Masters of Divinity (M.DIV)
Objective: This M.Div programme is designed to enhance Theological and Academic excellence, which will in turn produce effective ministry and position candidates for proper leadership influence.
Duration: 3 Semesters
Lecture Time: 6pm-9pm Mondays to Fridays.
Entry Requirements: candidate must be born-again. In addition to this, must have any of the following academic qualification. i. Advance Diploma in Christian Ministry or its equivalence ii. Post Graduate Diploma in Theology or its equivalence iii. First Degree in any field of study.
Additional Requirements for Graduation: Students are required to submit a Thesis which must be approved and presented according to the required standard of the Seminary.
Attendant Benefits: This programme provides opportunity to undertake a Doctor of Divinity programme. Equips student will all that are needed to cope with challenge in Leadership. Give adequate knowledge that serves as the basis for sound doctrine. |
