Taking his texts from Nehemiah 2:1-8 and Ecclesiastes 3:1, Pastor Tayo Kujore at the August 5 Sunday first service noted that life is in seasons, and this can neither be stopped nor changed. He noted that man ought to understand the seasons of life in order to make the best of them.
The role of timing and seasons in fulfilling purpose, according to the man of God, includes identification of purpose, divine direction and revelation, empowerment, determination and focus. These, he said, are necessary for anyone to be successful and fulfil purpose. “God created us for a purpose and we must find our purpose so we can move through life as champions,” he said.
He urged every believer to remain steadfast and immovable irrespective of the challenges of life’s different seasons. “The code for each phase of our lives differs from one person to another, but God never fails,” he stated.
“MY CASE IS DIFFERENT”

Christians are soldiers on a battlefield, but they have already won the victory even before the battle started. Therefore, as a covenant child of a covenant keeping God, your case cannot be the norm. These were the words of Pastor Bimbo Abiona at the second service.
Speaking from Numbers 27:1-8, 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 and 2 Kings 6:1-2, she said that believers always ought to align their hopes and aspirations with the Word of God, and never accept the lies of the devil in their different journeys in life. According to her, when believers understand whose and who they are, they would be less worried about circumstances of life. “When we know who our Father is, we as children of God would never be limited by earthly standards in any ramification,” she said.
She therefore admonished them to relax and trust that God would never fail in His promises no matter how seemingly difficult or impossible the situation may be. “Your attitude will go a long way in achieving your goals. So, always come out boldly to take hold of what God has already put in place for you,” she stated.
“THE TURN OF ONE MAN”

Using the account of the young boy who released his five loaves and two fish to Jesus (recorded in John 6:3-9) as an illustration, Pastor Shobo at the August 2 Thursday Showers service said that believer should always be available for the Master’s use irrespective of their situations. According to him, Jesus is looking for that one available man the way the lad made himself available.
He noted that there are certain responsibilities expected of children of God but pride can make them lose out, especially when they begin to exhibit some characters that are not expected of them. According to him, one man’s disobedience transferred the sinful nature to all men; but by another man’s obedience, righteousness is imputed to them (Romans 5:12-19). He therefore encouraged believers to be willing to stand in the gap because God needs such willing hearts (Ezekiel 22:30). “Don’t ever underestimate yourself because, as a covenant child of God, the Lord has a purpose for your life,” he said.
