Speaking from Philippians 1:6 which is the promise for the week, Pastor Nomthi at the March 31 Sunday service said that whatever God starts in the lives of His children, He will always perfect no matter what happens along the way of the journey of life. “God has begun a good work in you and He will finish it,” she said.
According to her, God will never leave or forsake His own because He does not forget, and He cannot be distracted. “His eyes are always on you. So no matter what happens, you will not be burnt because you are in His hand,” she stated.
WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT FROM PASTOR NOMTHI ODUKOYA
Dwelling on King Solomon’s request for wisdom from God as recorded in 1 Kings 3:5-13, Pastor Nomthi Odukoya at the March 28 Thursday Showers service said that wisdom is very important in the lives of believers if they must succeed in this wicked and perverse world. According to her, wisdom births humility, gives listening ears, and gives one understanding to know when and when not to do things. “Pride is an evidence of lack of wisdom. A wise person is humble and listens to others with understanding. Wisdom is knowing when to talk and when to be silent,” she stated.
She therefore urged the worshippers from Proverbs 4:7 to ask God for wisdom and He will give it to them without holding back.
