Pastor Taiwo @Sunday Service In continuation of his message on God’s grace being sufficient for believers, which he started the previous Thursday, Pastor Taiwo at the May 17 Sunday service said that the seeming feelings of believers that God isn’t answering prayers doesn’t mean He doesn’t answer prayer. According to him, God is always with His children and makes His grace available for them to see them through whatever they may be going through. “His grace is always there even when it seems there are no answers. He won’t leave His children helpless,” he said. Grace, according to Pastor Taiwo handles for believers what their strength cannot handle, noting that it removes guilt and repercussion of sin and gives power to withstand sin. He corroborated this with Apostle Paul’s experience recorded in 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 when God’s answer to his prayer request of a thorn to be removed from his body came in a way he never expected. Pastor Taiwo then said that the mystery of seemingly unanswered prayers is that God still answers His children though not in the way and manner they expect. According to him, this is when believers should trust God more and believe that He is with them no matter what happens. “Grace is an empowerment, a favour, direction, and focus. God’s grace will deliver and empower and this will make you never lack help. That grace is available to you and you will start to enjoy it immediately you start to believe in Him,” he noted. He therefore urged them from 2 Corinthians 9:8 never to give up on God despite the devil’s trick of isolating them by mounting pressure on their problems. “Jesus’ grace will get you back on your feet and give you the hope for tomorrow. Your situation is not a surprise to God even when you mess up. So don’t give up and don’t give room for self-pity, just turn to God and trust His promise for you. His grace will take you there.

GOD’S GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU
Pastor Taiwo @ Thursday Showers Pastor Taiwo Odukoya has once again encouraged believers not to give up on the hope of having a better and glorious future or the fulfilment of God’s promise over their lives, noting that God’s grace which strengthens one to achieve purpose resides in them. He said this at the May 14 Thursday showers service. Speaking from 2 Corinthians 12:7-9, Pastor Taiwo noted that God’s grace will always be sufficient for any believer who can have a positive mind towards God’s words and allow it impact his or her thoughts positively. “Once your thought changes, the situation will definitely change,” he said. He further noted that many believers get weary of God’s promise when they don’t seem to get physical manifestations to their prayer requests thereby forgetting His grace and strength at work in them. This, he said, is a ploy from the devil to distract them. “Your life is in collaboration with God. So, those challenges are not strong enough to truncate your life. God’s strength will afford you the opportunity to display your strength and you will come out of those challenges.” He also said that the seeming delay in God’s answers to believers’ prayers are so that they don’t slid into pride, thereby thinking their praying efforts brought them the victory. He therefore urged them not to doubt God irrespective of how He chose to answer their prayers, noting that He is God who has the best for His own. In his words, “God will always answer your prayer howbeit not the way you expect it. Whatever you’re going through is not strong to kill you. So don’t give up. God will strengthen and position you to be able to withstand the opposition of the enemy.”
