During the October 27 Sunday service, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya illuminated the concept of divine exchange, explaining that believers must have faith before seeing the manifestation of God’s blessings, contrasting with the worldly notion of “seeing is believing.”
The senior pastor described faith as engaging with eternal realities that are continuously unfolding, emphasizing that God works with the end in mind. He further defined faith as the ability to remain present in one’s current reality while envisioning the divine plans God has revealed, encouraging believers to embrace God’s promises despite their present circumstances. “Everything God requires from His followers is already established and accessible now,” Pastor Odukoya said.
He highlighted the importance of living in the “now” of what God is doing, rather than being solely focused on future expectations. He also stressed that faith and fear are both influenced by what people expose themselves to, urging the congregation to consciously choose faith over fear. “Embrace ‘now’ faith by moving in alignment with what God has promised, as if it has already been fulfilled,” he encouraged.
Pastor Odukoya concluded by urging the congregation to place bold trust in God, as this will lead them to see His promises realized in their lives. “God is looking for people who will take Him at His word and dare to believe, rather than waiting to see before believing,” he said.
Earlier in the service, Pastor Toluwani Odukoya encouraged the congregation with a message from Isaiah 45:1-2, the week’s promise, urging them to rise above challenges by speaking with confidence. She assured them that God has already gone ahead to prepare the way. “Approach God boldly, regardless of how difficult circumstances may seem. He is actively working to bring good, even when situations appear daunting,” she said.
The Associate Senior Pastor emphasized that nothing is impossible for God and that every obstacle must yield to the name of Jesus. This assurance, she explained, empowers believers to face difficulties with unwavering faith and confidence.

“The Audacity of Faith”

Pastor Bisoye Okwoli at Thursday Showers emphasized the audacity of faith that believers need to receive the miraculous from God. Speaking from Matthew 9:18-26, Luke 1:37, and Matthew 4:24, she shared that believers don’t need to see any precedent before trusting God for miracles, adding that even if something has never happened before, God can always perform the miraculous in the lives of His people. “If it has never happened before, in God it can happen. The end of man’s ability is the beginning of God’s intervention,” Pastor Bisoye said.
Using the example of Jesus, who set aside what He was doing with His disciples when called upon, Pastor Bisoye urged believers to be Christ-like by being willing to drop everything to attend to a need. She explained that God did not call Christians only to bless them but also to make them conduits of blessings to the world. She cited the example of Peter, who, upon arriving at Tabitha’s house and being told she was dead, followed Jesus’ example and raised her from the dead—same action, same result.
She continued, “There are times we have justifiable reasons not to step aside, some based on past experiences, but God is here saying, ‘Let go.’ Just as Jesus removed the professional mourners at the ruler’s house, so also there is a need to pull out and let go of those negative reports—those medical reports that do not align with what God has said—and the people who are not part of the journey God has called you on.”
She then encouraged her listeners, citing Isaiah 54:1-5, to always maintain hope despite present circumstances, to be optimistic about the new, and to focus less on current challenges. “Invite God in and experience the best of Him,” she urged.
