Pastor Jimmy Odukoya @ Sunday Service
In a message titled “Familiarity Blocks,” PJ, during his message at the December 29 Sunday service, explained how familiarity can hinder one from receiving divine provision. According to him, familiarity breeds dishonor, disbelief, and entitlement. “Familiarity brings dishonor, and dishonor dries up the well of provision and shuts the door to divine encounters,” he said. Citing Matthew 13:54-58, PJ pointed out how the people of Nazareth were blinded to Jesus’ miracles because of their familiarity with Him. He explained that the rejection of Jesus in Nazareth serves as an example of how familiarity can block divine potential and blessings. PJ highlighted the dangers of familiarity bias, which often leads to devaluing others, struggling to separate their past from their present, as well as hatred, prejudice, and envy. He noted that these can block believers from receiving divine provision. PJ also addressed the issue of offense, describing it as a trap used by the enemy to block blessings. “It is not possible to approach God looking through the lens of your own truth,” he stated. He therefore encouraged the congregation to embrace humility, faith, and honor as principles that unlock divine blessings and help them fulfill their God-given potential. “Honor is for everyone that God has made,” he said, encouraging the congregation to show respect to all people. Pastor Toluwani Odukoya, earlier in the service, admonished the congregation from Philippians 4:19, assuring them of God’s promise to supply their needs. According to her, everything required to fulfill their God-given assignment is a need and would be supplied through Jesus Christ. She then urged them to step into 2025 with faith, trusting that God’s provision would align with the divine purpose set for them.

Praise Is a Weapon
Pastor Jimmy Odukoya @ Last Thursday Showers
The presence of God was palpable at the last Thursday Showers service in 2024, as there were signs and wonders with divine visitations on participants for blessings and debt cancellation. Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, while ministering at the December 26 service, reminded his listeners about God’s unwavering faithfulness towards His own. Speaking from Psalm 30:5, PJ stated that joy always comes at the end of every challenge, adding that believers should have hope and praise God intentionally, irrespective of their situation. “Although the devil may have taken his best shot this year, he cannot steal your praise,” he declared. Highlighting the power of praise as a spiritual weapon, PJ urged the congregation to wield it intentionally, just as Paul and Silas did in Acts 16:25-26. Other scriptural references shared during the service included 1 Kings 18:25, 1 Thessalonians 4:13, Psalm 34:19, and Philippians 1:6.
