He emphasized that believers must see things through God’s perspective, holding steadfastly to His promises, and explained that hope is the ability to see beyond current challenges.
Drawing from Ruth 1:12, Romans 15:13, and Isaiah 46:10, Pastor Jimmy highlighted that God is the source of hope. Through faith in Him, believers can abound in joy and peace regardless of their circumstances. He also referenced Galatians 4:4-5, emphasizing that God’s promises are foundational to the plans He has for each believer, and that promises precede plans, giving birth to hope and certainty in God’s unfailing word.
He urged the congregation to have unwavering hope in God, as it serves as a steadfast anchor in the face of adversity. Pastor Jimmy assured everyone that as long as God is their forerunner, they would never be without hope.
Earlier in the service, Pastor Toluwani encouraged the congregation with Isaiah 41:9-10, the promise for the week. She reminded the church of the importance of faith in receiving God’s promises. According to her, faith and fear are intertwined, but choosing faith unleashes the Holy Spirit’s transformative power.
She urged everyone to trust God and defy fear, warning that fear could hijack God’s divine promises from us. “In 2025, set your expectations high. God is God, so don’t be afraid,” she said.

The first Thursday Showers of 2025 was nothing short of a spiritually uplifting experience—a true celebration of God’s faithfulness. The service, held on January 2, was a time of awe-inspiring praise, worship, and thanksgiving, interspersed with powerful testimonies of God’s faithfulness.
The atmosphere was electric, charged with heartfelt praise and worship, and the presence of God was palpable among His people. Testimonies of God’s faithfulness and miraculous works were shared, ranging from healings to breakthroughs, restorations to unexpected provisions. Each story served as a reminder that God’s promises are not just words but living realities in the lives of His children. These testimonies stirred up faith and encouraged everyone present to believe in the God of the impossible.
This gathering was a spiritual reset, an invitation to trust God anew for 2025. With hearts full of gratitude and faith, everyone left the meeting inspired, empowered, and ready to walk boldly into the year, confident in the God who never fails.
