Pastor Taiwo @ Sunday Services
Pastor Taiwo at the April 1 Sunday service, which was also Easter Sunday, noted that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ was to save humanity from eternal damnation. This incomparable work of salvation, he said, is beyond the comprehension of the natural man but is revealed to those that have been enlightened by the Spirit. “We know that Christ died and arose because we are living proofs of His eternal existence. All the miracles and daily benefits we enjoy are evidences that He died and lives forever,” he said.
Speaking from Ephesians 1:15-22, Romans 4:24-25 and 1 Corinthians 15:17-18, he said that the same Spirit and power that raised Christ from the dead dwells inside anyone and everyone who accepts and believes in Him; and this makes them overcomers in all circumstances. “The things the devil uses to disgrace and oppress you have been destroyed by Christ and publicly put to shame. So, no one can hold you down. Just exercise your faith in Him and you will stir up the power into action,” he stated.
He urged all not to lose focus of their identity in Christ as that would be tantamount to a waste of life. “The glories of this world will fade away, so don’t waste your precious life impressing people at the expense of your eternity with Christ,” he said.

WORSHIP AND ITS COMPONENTS
Pastor Kayode Ebenezer @ Thursday Showers
Contrary to the general belief that worship is the rendition of slow songs to God, Pastor Kayode Ebenezer stated at the March 29 Thursday Showers service that worship is not limited to singing and prayers, but is about having a personal encounter with Christ. That, he said, is the starting point of worship. “You need to be born of the Spirit to be able to worship Him,” he stated.
Speaking from John 4:20-24 and John 3:3-6, he said that having a new life in Christ is a must for anyone who desires to have a relationship with Him. According to him, this new life is not based on material and financial blessings or even healing, but on the need of a relationship with God. “You cannot worship Him unless you are His,” he noted.
Evidences of being born again, according to Pastor Kayode, include a thirst for righteousness, constant fellowship with God through His Word, following Christ always, as well as having faith and obedience in all ramifications. He therefore urged all to look critically at their lives to check if they are still in God because this is what really matters. “When we put all of these things together, we will know that we are truly living a life of worship and not just experiencing a moment of worship,” he said.
