Sharing from the promise of the week in Proverbs 16:9, Pastor Nomthi at the January 14 Sunday service said that it is only God who can direct a man’s steps, even though he (man) can make plans. According to her, it is good for believers to make plans, but they should always allow God direct their steps because that is when good success would be guaranteed.
She enjoined the congregation to focus on their relationship with God and obey His direction and not get distracted by other people’s success. “You cannot miss any step when God is directing your steps. So, be expectant,” she said.
PASTOR NOMTHI’S WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Pastor Nomthi, in her words of exhortation to the worshippers at the January 11 Thursday Showers service from Exodus 14:21, said that God’s blessings to His children always come with joy and refreshment.
Using the Israelites as an example, she said that the rough and crooked nature of the road cannot stop God from bringing His children to their Promised Land, just as the Red Sea could not stop the children of Israel from getting to theirs. “It doesn’t matter how rough and crooked the road may be, when God is leading you, you will surely get there because His deliverance is always sweet, and His blessings do not bring sorrow,” she said.
She urged them not to be envious of other people’s breakthroughs because they will also have theirs, just as some Israelites got to the end of the Red Sea before others; but everyone walked through the Red Sea to dry land. “Do not give up when others get ahead of you. Be assured that you will also get to your dry land – destination,” she stated.
