Pastor Nomthi at the July 29 Sunday service urged believers never to fall for the threats of the devil in believing that God’s promise to increase them will not be fulfilled. Speaking from Deuteronomy 1:11, which is the promise for the week, she said that God’s intention for increasing His people is to achieve great feats through them for His glory.
According to her, there are many things God wants to achieve and He needs His children as the workforce to achieve them. This, she said, is the reason the devil will always threaten and oppress them so that they would not achieve anything for their God.
She then encouraged them never to doubt God’s Word or think they are abandoned. “You may not feel or see it now but remember that God is always there with you. The trouble you are going through is like fertilizer that will shoot up your growth in due season. So don’t give up, just trust God and you will surely increase as He has promised you,” she said.
