Pastor Nomthi at the July 1 Sunday service encouraged the congregation from Colossians 2:10, which is the promise for the week, that no child of God should feel inadequate to aim for and achieve greatness in life.
This, according to her, is because they have been made complete in Christ Jesus. In her words, “You are complete in Christ, not lacking anything. Everything you need for your life’s journey is already provided. If you feel inadequate in any area of your life, remember that God has already completed you. So you have value.”
She then encouraged them to continue living in Christ and not to listen to any distracting voice. “God has added finishing touches to all the rough edges in your life. He will always come through for you because you are His and are complete in Him,” she said.
PASTOR TOSIN @ THURSDAY SHOWERS
Pastor Tosin Sowemimo in her brief exhortation to the worshippers at the June 28 Thursday Showers service said that the awesomeness of God towards His children is unquantifiable. Speaking from Psalms 139, she pointed out that God’s love is complete even though we may not be able to comprehend it due to our fears and life’s struggles.
She admonished that whenever the devil throws us fearful circumstances, our gaze should be on God as He is never too busy and His hands are always open towards us. “God is familiar with our ways and thoughts and nothing catches Him by surprise. He knows us the most, yet still loves us the most. Your life is ever in front of Him, so trust Him no matter what is happening around you. It is an insult not to trust God,” she said.
