Pastor Nomthi at the June 17 Sunday said that many times, just like with Nehemiah, the proof of our obedience to God as believers is seen when we are faced with opposition. No matter the opposition, she encouraged believer to keep doing the work of the Lord. Their labour is not in vain. There is a reward!
Speaking from 1 Corinthians 15:58 which is also the promise for the week, she said that God is aware that there are going to be situations that would challenge His children’s faith but if they can just focus on Him for strength and grace, they will excel. “When you serve God, even if people do not notice or thank you, your reward is still sure because it comes from God. So, choose to only follow the leading of the Lord and stay in Him; you will excel in the work of the Lord,” she urged.

Worshippers of the June 14 Thursday showers have been admonished by pastor Nomthi never to doubt God’s word no matter what happens. This, according to her, is because God is not a man that will fail and once He has said it, it will be done. “God has promised and He will fulfil His promises in your life because He has said it,” she said.
According to her, if Herod, who is human, could fulfil his promise to the girl in Matthew 14:3-12, God, who is faithful, will never fail in His promise to His children. One thing required of them, she said, is to ask. “If a mere man could fulfil his promise to someone, how much more will God give you whatever He has promised. All you need to do is ask Him as He has told you and you shall receive. Don’t be afraid of the devil or any challenge,” she said.
She therefore urged them to confront whatever is standing in their way of breakthrough. In her words, “Crush that brain behind your trouble. Dismantle whatever the devil has put before you and enjoy your life.”
