In continuation of the message he started the previous Thursday, Pastor Taiwo at the November 5 Sunday services said that God is too faithful to lie or renege on His covenant with His children. This is why He would always answer them if they call on Him. “When God says you should call on Him, it is because He wants to achieve something in your life. So don’t be intimidated, afraid or discouraged to call on Him,” he noted.
Speaking from Jeremiah 33:3; Isaiah 55:10-11; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 and Luke 18:1, he stated that praying always over and about everything in line with God’s word knocks off anxiety or discouragement from the life of a believer and restores hope. This, according to him, is because God’s word would produce the seed which will bring about increase and growth in life. “Garnish everything you do with prayers and invite Him into everything you do. You will definitely have answers,” he said.
He urged all to understand their covenant right in God so as to be able to maximize life as carriers of the nature of God. “If you can understand that you are a partaker and carrier of God’s nature, and that you have been sentenced to an eternal love, you will have no choice but to excel,” he stated.

Pastor Taiwo at the November 2 Thursday Showers service emphasised the importance of prayer in the life of Christians. According to him, it is their covenant right, which gives them free access to God. “Prayer is very important. It moves the hands of God; if you can call on Him, He will surely answer,” he said.
Speaking from Jeremiah 33:3, he said that God expects His children to take advantage of this covenant and call on Him any time, especially in times of trouble, instead of wallowing in self-pity. “God wants you to depend on Him for victory over situations. So don’t sit idly in self-pity, get encouraged and call on God,” he enjoined.
He encouraged all to remain steadfast in the Lord by being fervent in prayer because there is a divine guarantee of an answer whenever they call. In his words, “It is suicidal for children of God to shut their mouths in the face of trouble. Open your mouth and call on Him; He has given you the assurance of answering you.”
