At Sunday Service Pastor Taiwo Odukoya has admonished believers never to give in to fear, being that they are the children of the most high God and joint heirs with Christ. He said this during the February 5 Sunday service at The Fountain of Life Church.
Speaking from Acts 4:23–31, the clergy encouraged Christians to always consider the boldness displayed by the disciples when they were being threatened not to speak again in the name of the Lord. According to him, the disciples never wavered but answered the powers that be with boldness. “A Christian should follow suit by always living a life of boldness and not timidity,” he said.
Pastor Taiwo further said that a believer’s life is one that should be daily loaded with miracles. Explaining this further through the healing of the lame man in Acts 3:1–8, he said that Peter and John could demonstrate the power of God through them because they truly knew in whom they believed. He also noted that God was able to manifest His power through the disciples because the atmosphere they created was the right one for them to witness the miraculous. “They continued witnessing for Christ, with signs and wonders following and a multitude of souls being converted to the way of the Lord,” he said.
The Senior Pastor told both his online and on-site listeners that God is ready to take them through the miraculous, noting that it is a journey they have never witnessed before in their Christian walk if they will only believe. Buttressing this statement with the testimony shared by a sister of how God showed up for her in turning her zero account balance into a huge one and offsetting her children’s school fees, he said a Christian life is such that it should always show forth the glory of God. “This kind of life can be attained if only all Christians could throw out fear and be ready to shine for God everywhere they find themselves,” he said.
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya admonished Congregation at the February Thursday Showers
Thursday’s Showers service held on February 2 was another awesome service where joy was palpable. It was the first Showers service in the month of February, 2023.
There were testifiers like Sister Joke Ogundano, who thanked God for the release of her son’s WAEC full results and also helping him resume immediately in the university; Sister Kemi, who thanked God for miraculously healing her without surgery despite being told she needed surgery; and Sister Kemi Bailey, who testified of how God credited her account and promoted her business after blessing her with her children’s school fees.
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, while speaking with the congregation, said, “A lot of things will not be important anymore to you; what will be important is your walk with the Master.”
Pastor Odukoya went further to say that because God now lives inside the believer, the devil wouldn’t want the believer to always remember that his or her life is not a life that they can live all by themselves. He stated, “You are living your life in partnership with the Holy Ghost; He is living His life through you; settle that and refuse to be afraid of the lie of the devil.”
He added, “Don’t remain where you used to be; move forward. What you have with the Master is real.”
He went ahead to urge the congregation not to take prayers lightly, saying, “The only reason the devil will seem to have power over you will be because you refused to pray.” He challenged his audience to put their trust in God and commit to Him, and He will fight for them.
