Pastor Jimmy Odukoya encouraged Christians to rejoice regardless of the situation, emphasizing that some closed doors are victories in disguise. He conveyed this message to a large gathering of worshippers during his sermon at the Sunday service on December 10.
“Sometimes, victory can appear as a closed door. You might not fully understand it, but thank God for closed doors,” the cleric expressed to the congregation as he commenced a new teaching series titled “The Wall, The Praise, and The Glory.”
Drawing references from Genesis 7:16 and Joshua 6:1, the Senior Pastor recounted how God closed the door of the Ark immediately after Noah entered, just before the Great Flood.
The preacher also highlighted that wherever God sends a person, He also provides for them in that place. Citing Numbers 13:30-33 and Numbers 14:1-3, the Senior Pastor urged Christians to banish fear from their minds, emphasizing that God has not given them a spirit of fear. “Fear will confine you behind walls and distort your perception of yourself,” he cautioned the worshippers.
He then encouraged the congregation to have confidence in God and to maintain that mindset continuously, regardless of the situation.

THE SEED LIFE
Pastor Toluwani Odukoya @ Thursday Showers
Pastor Toluwani Odukoya, while delivering a sermon to the worshippers during the Thursday showers on December 7, emphasized the importance for believers to consistently sow good seeds in their interactions, words, and thoughts. She emphasized that a seed is a living entity with the potential to grow into a tree.
Highlighting that the word of God is a seed that produces fruit (Galatians 6:7-9), the clergywoman conveyed to believers that every action they take is significant because it represents their Father (God). She specifically urged parents to sow positive seeds in the lives of their children, emphasizing that seeds are spiritual and inevitably yield fruit.
Drawing from Genesis 8:22, she encouraged believers to sow good seeds consistently, regardless of their feelings, as there is always a planting season before the harvest. Stressing that the principle of seed is fundamental in the kingdom of God, she reminded believers that money is not the only seed they can sow; good words, love, kindness, and more are all considered seeds.
As the Associate Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, she conveyed, “The word of God is a seed, and the heart of a believer is the soil. The more you speak the word, the more it plants in the heart; the more you think on it, the more you water it, and the more it grows.”
Encouraging her listeners to speak what they desire to see happen in their lives rather than focusing on their present reality, she emphasized that believers, in the kingdom of God, are meant to do so. She urged Christians to seek not only the gifts of the spirit but also the fruits of the spirit (Romans 11:29).
Pastor Toluwani Odukoya asserted that believers are meant to live intentionally and by the word of God, as they are carriers of a seed (Luke 8:11). She emphasized that everything a believer needs is embedded in the word of God, and it is their duty to search the word and confess it until it becomes their reality (Psalm 27:1). Additionally, she stated that God expects believers to sow good seeds both as a church and to one another.
“In life, it’s all about seeds because seeds are eternal. You may not reap the fruits now, but always remember that God owes no one,” she concluded.
