Pastor Taiwo Odukoya @ Sunday Services
Walking in the reality of the new covenant ought to be an everyday experience for believers and not an occasional thing. One will not however experience this reality or walk in it if one does not have the full revelation and understanding of the reality of the new creation. This was the crux of Pastor Taiwo’s message at the April 28 Sunday service.
Speaking from Ephesians 1:15-23, he said that the reality of being a new creation means being the light in the dark world, having authority over everything God created and accessing every spiritual blessing He has already lavished on them. According to him, any believer who does not know and understand the working of this new creation would not be able to walk therein and would always be intimidated by those who do not have anything to offer. “If you don’t know that you carry something, you become a slave of those who are carrying nothing,” he said.
He therefore urged them to get into the Word of God so as to get the understanding and the boldness needed to walk in the reality of the new creation which the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has afforded them.
“LIVING IN THE REALITY OF THE NEW CREATION”
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya @ Thursday Showers
Pastor Taiwo in his message at the April 25 Thursday Showers service said that ignorance and mere mental knowledge are major reasons some believers cannot live in the reality of the new creation. That is why, according to him, such suffer lack in the midst of abundance.
Speaking from 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, he said that a complete change in nature occurs when one becomes born again, but lack of knowledge and understanding of this new creation will hinder one from maximizing it. “God gave you His nature at salvation, so fear has no right in your new nature. But if you don’t know that, you can never benefit fully from this new nature,” he stated.
He then implored them to be conscious of their new nature in Christ and be bold to express it in their daily living.
