WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT FROM PASTOR NOMTHI @ THURSDAY SHOWERS
While admonishing the worshipers at the June 15 Thursday Showers service on the need for patience in order to fully access God’s blessings, Pastor Nomthi said that His children’s blessings are found and can be fully accessed in the place where He has placed or planted them. Leaving the place therefore because of temporary adversity or lack of patience, according to her, could result in totally missing out on those blessings.
She corroborated this with the story of Ruth who, despite her challenges and the little blessings she enjoyed then, did not leave Naomi or Boaz’s farm but obediently and patiently stayed where she had been placed, as advised, and got the full blessings, physically and eternally. (Ruth 2:18-23)
Pastor Nomthi noted that any believer who leaves God’s presence, whatever the excuse, always does so to his or her own detriment. “God’s blessings are given in layers, stay where He has placed you. Don’t listen to the devil’s advice to leave your place of destiny,” she advised.
PASTOR NOMTHI’S WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT @SUNDAY SERVICE
Admonishing the congregation during the Sunday services of June 15, Pastor Nomthi said that the word of God is both a believer’s sword and shield against the arrows of the enemy. According to her, once a believer understands that God is loving and can be trusted, it will be easy for him or her to believe His promises and then appropriate them.
She further said that the devil will try to instil fear in believers so as to hinder them from fulfilling their purposes. This, she said, he achieves by distracting them from reading and applying God’s word. She added that when God’s children know that their God will never leave them, as He promised in Psalm 91:3&4, they will refuse to be distracted by the devil. “The devil will throw doubts at you so that you will run away and leave your place of destiny, but you don’t need to fear him because he has been paralysed by the victory Jesus gave you. So focus on and apply the word of God for your victory and success,” she admonished.
