Pastor Nomthi Odukoya, while admonishing the congregation at the November 22 Sunday service from Deuteronomy 1:21, said that God’s people don’t have to be afraid or discouraged by circumstances because there is a land that God has set before them and His blessings and promises for them are ahead of them.
According to her, believers’ lives have been bought by the precious blood of Jesus therefore the devil cannot exercise any authority over them. In her words, “You are the land that Jesus died for. The devil cannot claim anything over your lives. You have the blood of Jesus as the Certificate of Occupancy.”
She therefore urged them to rather focus on God’s word which is able to get them to that Promised Land and not get discouraged even when things appear not to be easy. “The devil will do everything possible to get you to take your eyes off God but remain focus,” she urged.
